About Molly

Hi, I'm Molly Perry (she/her)! Here's a couple quick facts: I'm currently 26, use she/her pronouns, and live in southern Idaho, a very beautiful land of sagebrush and mountains in the middle of the Rocky Mountain range. I grew up here, but feel unlikely to continue to remain long-term. That is, once work and career is sorted out.

I absolutely adore learning, and would be a lifelong official student if I could, hopping from specialty to specialty, but I started with B.S. degrees in mathematics and physics before getting an M.B.A. through a federal cybersecurity scholarship program called Scholarship for Service. While maybe the last degree I would choose on campus, it was a great experience, meant to build bridges between the management and the techies, and I especially enjoyed going out of my way to get a certification in secure cyber operations from the computer science department to boost the technical side. But the program does require a number of years of cybersecurity work at some level of government (or other approved public organizations) equal to that paid for, in my case, 2.

Finishing the program in May of 2025, with the new administration, hiring freezes, government shutdowns, etc., has been a serious mess. If anyone can get me in touch with someone for a job, I'm open!

I've enjoyed my education, but the way the world is, I'd love to more directly help people than behind a computer where changes may or may not trickle down through a complex chain of powerful, questionable, and unreliable links before benefiting those who need it most. At the moment, I would actually love to be a mortician and funeral director and specialize in environmentally friendly final disposition methods such as green and natural burials, water cremation, and human composting. A completely different path, but one I think I'd find meaningful and fulfilling.

I'm diagnosed AuDHD (both autistic and ADHD), so with my proclivity for learning and questions and substantial formal education, I have a tendency to ask questions and identify patterns in behaviors that seem "normal" to people without certain social communication challenges, then pursue the answers to as fundamental a source as I can get with intense focus and zeal. I actually love being corrected when there is the authority and evidence to back up claims superior to what I have previously found, or if I misunderstood or misused a concept or phrase.

Finally, I have three cats: Pem (short for PEMDAS), Smoot (after Oliver Smoot), and Zvez (short for Zvezdelina, after Zvezdelina Stankova). I'm a nerd, you see. Perhaps it was written in the stars or foreordained since my birthday is the 14th of March, otherwise known as Pi Day and the birthday of Albert Einstein, but I'm a pretty rational and logic focused atheist, so probably not.

Pem (top, black), Smoot (left, grey tabby), and Zvez (right, brown tabby).

Thanks for reading and being here!

Yes, the curls are completely natural!
